Ocean Shore Blvd. about a customer who had their new bicycle stolen from the entrance area. FCSO responded immediately and located video evidence of a suspect, and a BOLO was created. A short time later, the suspect, Samuel Muslaire, 23, of Miami, was spotted by a deputy riding the stolen bike near the intersection of North Ocean Shore Blvd and Camino Del Mar Parkway.

Muslaire knew he was caught when the deputy asked him about the bike, and Muslaire responded with, “Why do you say that?” Muslaire was immediately placed in handcuffs.
During a search of his belongings, deputies discovered multiple stolen and fraudulent items. Muslaire had 51 forged bank checks from four victims totaling $70,466 in fraudulent checks. He also had several forms of identification and debit/credit cards belonging to an Orange County, Florida, victim. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and an investigation is underway in Orange County.
Muslaire was arrested for Grand Theft of more than $750 and less than $5,000, two counts of Unauthorized Use/Possession of a Driver’s License, Possession of ID of Another Without Authorization (4 or fewer), and Organized Scheme to Defraud greater than $50,000. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is held on an $18,000 bond.

“This criminal thought he could just take someone else’s bike and not get caught. Another out-of-town thief found out that if you break the law in Flagler County, we will catch you,” says Sheriff Rick Staly. “Deputies quickly discovered this thief had ripped off a handful of other victims, too, forging checks and stealing credit cards and a driver’s license. The only thing he’ll be ripping off now is his sheets from his bunk when it’s laundry day at the Green Roof Inn.”

Traffic Stop Ends in Cocaine Arrest
On September 21, a traffic stop was conducted on I-95 on a Nissan Maxima for illegal window tint. When a deputy approached the window, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the car. The driver, Yefrey Recio Baez, 25, of Orlando, was asked to step out of the car, and when he did, cannabis fell from his person, which led to a search of the car. During the search, cocaine was discovered, as well as drug paraphernalia and a handgun.
Baez was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Hash, Possession of Marijuana under 20g, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.
He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on a $7,000 bond.

Suspect Tries Outrunning Deputies, Easily Caught
On September 23, Flager County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a red Subaru driving over 100 MPH on White View Parkway. Deputies activated their lights and sirens and attempted a traffic stop, but the car didn’t stop and continued to flee.
Deputies deactivated their lights but tried to maintain a visual on the car due to the reckless high rate of speed. The car was observed driving into the P-Section of Palm Coast. After searching the area, deputies located the car on Presidential Lane and determined it was registered to Alex Henriques, 20, of Palm Coast. When questioned by deputies, Henriques stated he drove off because he didn’t want another ticket. He has several tickets and citations for speeding dating back to 2021, including speeding in a school zone.
Henriques was arrested and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is being held without bond.
“This individual doesn’t learn and is a driving menace to our community. Hopefully, he will get some jail time and learn a lesson before he kills someone,” added Sheriff Staly.
