Saturday, September 21st, from 3 pm to 7 pm, the SMART Animal Rescue held their second annual Cruisin for Paws fundraiser at Central Park in Town Central of Palm Coast. The event occurred in the afternoon, with vendors, food trucks, bounce houses, a car show, a petting zoo, and so much more.  Proceeds from the event benefitted the Animal Rescue organization, some volunteers walked the crowd, raising additional funds, while others walked with dogs available for adoption. Overall, the event raised roughly $10,000, a generous amount from the local business and resident communities of Flagler County.

The event was not just family-friendly but dog-friendly, too. Many attendees had their furry friends in attendance, soaking up the sun and enjoying the festivities while supporting SMART Animal Rescue.

The car show was open to the public, allowing anyone with a car from any era to enter into the contest. The categories for judging cars were by era, for example, the 1930’s, 1940’s, etc, all the way up to the 2020’s, along with a people’s choice award and a SMART choice award.
