The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is pleased to announce that Community Policing Division Master Deputy Kyle Gaddie was named Finalist for the 2024 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA).
Ultimately, Master Deputy Gaddie was not selected to receive the 2024 FSA Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. The FSA Committee awarded this annual recognition to two Pinellas County Deputies who were involved in a shoot-out with a burglary suspect. The suspect critically injured a Deputy Sheriff, whose life was saved by another Deputy.
Master Deputy (MD) Kyle Gaddie began his employment with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on October 24, 2016, serving as a uniformed patrol deputy. He has earned numerous accolades and awards as a result of his high-quality level of work, including three lifesaving awards, multiple unit citations, deputy of the month, and multiple certificates of accommodation, and he is mentioned almost weekly in CRIMEMAPS at various levels of recognition. CRIMEMAPS is the agency’s version of CompStat, which is a performance management system that is used to reduce crime and achieve other police department goals.
“We are honored that FSA recognized the hard work and dedication of Master Deputy Gaddie,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “He has been a dedicated and proactive member of the Sheriff’s Office, and his ability to detect and deter crime is amazing. We are proud of his commitment to keeping our community safe and congratulate him on being recognized by FSA.”
