The City of Palm Coast proudly declares February as Responsible Pet Ownership Month, emphasizing the crucial role that pet owners play in the well-being of their animal companions. In recognition, the City is launching an awareness campaign through a series of informative videos aimed at highlighting services offered to help assist residents in caring for their pets.

The campaign will focus on various services provided by the City of Palm Coast designed to support residents in being responsible pet owners. Topics include:

  • Palm Coast Animal Licensing: Ensuring that pets are properly licensed is vital for their safety and the safety of our community.
  • Animal Code Violations: Understanding and adhering to animal codes and regulations is crucial for maintaining a safer community for both pets and residents.
  • Palm Coast Lost & Found Pets Community Page: Offering a platform for residents to report lost or found pets, facilitating their safe return to their homes.

These services underscore the Palm Coast’s commitment to promoting responsible pet ownership and ensuring the welfare of animals within the community.

“Responsible pet ownership is not only a moral obligation but also essential for the well-being of our beloved animal companions,” said Barbara Grossman, Code Enforcement Manager. “Through this awareness campaign, we aim to educate residents with the resources they need to provide the best possible care for their pets.”

The series of videos will be accessible on the City of Palm Coast’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms throughout February. Residents are encouraged to participate actively, share the videos, and utilize the provided services as responsible pet owners.
