Chiumento Law is proud to announce that Attorney Vincent Sullivan, a Partner at the firm, has been recognized for his exceptional pro bono work with St. Johns County Legal Aid for the sixth time in his eight-year career. To be eligible for the Jay Grife Pro Bono Award, an attorney must donate at least 100 hours per year to providing legal services to the community. This recognition highlights Vincent’s commitment to providing legal assistance to those in need within our community.
Pro bono, a Latin term meaning “for the public good,” signifies an attorney’s dedication to providing legal services without charging fees. According to the Florida Bar’s most recent rate survey, the average hourly legal services rate for attorneys ranges from $300 to $500. Pro bono services bridge the gap, offering crucial legal support to individuals who cannot afford typical hourly fees.
Vincent who has been practicing law since 2015, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to making justice accessible to all. His dedication to pro bono work reflects the core values of Chiumento Law, a firm that takes pride in its commitment to the community.
Born in central California, Vincent moved to Palm Coast in 1999. He is a proud member of the first graduating class of Matanzas High School in 2008. Vincent continued his academic journey by graduating from Flagler College in Saint Augustine in 2012, where he earned a degree in Political Science. He then pursued his legal education at Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating in 2015 and ranking in the top quartile of his class. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Flagler County Education Foundation, is the Chair of the Governance Committee for the Flagler County Education Foundation and is a member of the Young Executives for Flagler Tiger Bay Club.
Vincent Sullivan specializes in a wide range of legal areas, including consumer defense, appeals, debt collection defense, foreclosure defense, and real estate issues encompassing residential and commercial property transactions, landlord-tenant matters, and zoning and land use issues. His dedication to his clients extends beyond the office, as he volunteers his time to meet and assist clients monthly.
Michael Chiumento, Managing Partner of Chiumento Law, expressed his support and pride in Vincent’s continued efforts to give back to the community, saying, “The Firm is proud to stand beside Vincent and support him with his continued efforts to give back to our community. Vincent’s commitment to pro bono work exemplifies the values of our Firm and we are honored to have him as part of our team. When you think about the amount of time that Vincent has donated to the Community, it is like he makes a point to spend at least 2 ½ weeks a year to nothing but service to our community through the Pro Bono program. It is attorneys like Vincent and others that participate in the pro bono program, that help provide “a wealth of justice for those who have neither” as they say at St. Johns County Legal Aid.”
Vincent Sullivan’s outstanding dedication to serving the community and making legal services accessible to all is a testament to his character and professionalism. Chiumento Law congratulates Attorney Vincent on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to his continued service to the community.
