This morning, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for Flagler County held their morning meeting at 9am, Monday November 6th, 2023. The meeting was short, to the point and uneventful.
The meeting started with board members issuing proclamations declaring this month as National Diabetes Awareness Month, and ‘No Shave November’ to bring awareness to men’s health specifically with prostate and testicular cancer.
Following the proclamations, the BOCC heard a general presentation on FDOT’s work program for the upcoming year.
Public comment at the beginning of the meeting was short, with one resident inquiring about the Carver Building addition. The BOCC moved on to pass the consent agenda, which can be found here, unanimously.
Following the consent agenda, public comment was opened up for the second time, and then the BOCC members, as well as county staff had the opportunity to make their own comments. The County Attorney did bring up the issue with Ormond Beach and upcoming Flagler County developments. The attorney stated he would draft a resolution for the Board to vote on in the future in order to keep in line with state law.
The meeting was adjourned shortly after.
