Wednesday evening, November 29th at 4pm, residents from both the Hidden Lakes development and Toscana came together to discuss their options in regards to the potential apartment complexes that are proposed to line Old Kings Road. The last minute meeting had an impressive turnout, with at least 30 people in attendance. Fugitive with Warrant Captured in Palm Coast

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) captured a Palm Coast man with an outstanding warrant for two counts of Aggravated Assault. Around 10:40pm, Master Deputy Rainey conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota sedan. The vehicle was operated by Stephen Charles Voorhees Jr., 31. Voorhees was found to have an active warrant for two counts of Aggravated Assault from Seminole County, FL. Voorhees was arrested for his out-of-county warrant and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. UPDATE: FCSO Communications Center Recertified as a Public Safety Telecommunication Training Program

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Communications Center has been recertified as a Public Safety Telecommunication Training Program. The approval is valid through December 16, 2025. The certification program requires agencies to re-apply every two years. The FCSO Communications Center received its first certification as a certified training center in late 2019. The training program is organized by Communications Training and Relief Supervisor Genice Caccavale. During the application for recertification, the Communications Center must provide proof that they meet all state training standards. The training program is required to meet or exceed a minimum of 236 total hours of training.…

This year the Palm Coast Holiday Boat Parade hopes to hold its status as the largest lighted boat parade in the State of Florida. This year, the parade route has been lengthened over a mile, and shuttle bus services for spectators will be provided. Registrations are growing for the parade. The parade is free for all. Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, Flagler School Board members held their afternoon workshop meeting. This workshop included presentations by AdventHealth, the 2024-2025 school calendar, Quantum Health, and FPL Easement/Cell Tower Placement. AdventHealth and Flagler Schools have been partnered together since 2021, and will continue this partnership into 2024, with the option to renew this partnership further. They provide mental health resources, classroom to careers and offer athlete care as well. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) is seeking the publics help in identifying the new facial reconstruction of a 1980's cold case victim. On May 28th, 1980, the skeletal remains of a male were found near the canal/culvert of State Road 11, just about 2 miles south of Bunnell City Limits. In 1980, the medical examiner and forensic anthropologists believed the remains belonged to a black male, between the ages of 20-27, around 5'6"-5'7" and weighing roughly around 145-150 pounds.
