The subject was then identified as John Ramsey Davis Jr, 44, and witnesses confirmed he was the robber. While searching Davis’s pants, deputies recovered the money stolen during the robbery in his right pocket.

“I commend our deputies for quickly apprehending the suspect without further incident,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “I also commend the store clerk for providing a great description which allowed us to quickly find him. Another criminal learned the hard way that we catch our criminals in Flagler County. Fortunately, no one was hurt and hopefully, he will learn his lesson while in jail.”

Davis was arrested for Petit Theft and Pocket Picking (between $100 – $749), Loitering or Prowling, Resisting an Officer With Violence – Aggravated Assault, and Robbery Without a Firearm or Weapon. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is being held on $62,000 bond.
