September 11th, 2023, Mike Norris, retired Army officer and local business owner announced his candidacy for Mayor of Palm Coast.

Norris is a long time resident of Palm Coast, and has raised his children here. Norris outlined his priorities for the city by using an acronym, R.A.I.S.E., which stants for Revitalizing existing infrastructure, Attracting Industrial growth, Increasing Public Safety, Smart Growth and expansion, and Empowering the commercial development of town center.

Norris stated that throughout his career he has been on various boards and committees, working with residents to address local concerns as well as having been a Critical Infrastructure Protection Officer where he managed on the the U.S. Military’s largest installations in the Pacific.

Norris holds many awards and decorations for not only meritorious combat but for job performance as well. He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in both Management & Leadership and Human Resources Management from Webster University, Walker School of Business and Technology, Jacksonville, Florida.

“This city has given so much to me and my family, and it’s time for me to give back by leading us
towards a brighter future. Together we can build a stronger community, one that promotes
business and empowers the residents to enjoy all of what Palm Coast has to offer.”

Norris plans to hold a series of town halls, community events and will continue attending City Hall meetings to connect with residents.
