Earl Presley was just inducted as the DAV 86 Chaplain. Presley is also the Lead Coordinator and Instructor for Guitars 4 Vets Palm Coast. Presley volunteered to take on this role as the former DAV Chaplain was just elected as the VFW’s new commander. The DAV serves the Flagler County area.
The chaplain position requires the veteran holding the position to be an ordained minister. Presley holds a Master’s in Theological Studies from Brite Divinity School at TCU.
The DAV is an organization with a single purpose; to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. The DAV focuses on making sure that veterans and their families have access to the full range of benefits available to them.
Flagler County Florida has the highest population of veterans per capita of all Florida counties. Flagler County has over 13,000 veterans residing here.
Presley as the chaplain of the DAV, is responsible for senior ministries, coordinating the quilts of valor that are handed out to vets in nursing homes as well as the service and ceremony that goes with that, visiting DAV members who are in the hospital, as well as providing any other ministerial services for those belonging to the DAV.
