March 16, 2023 – Flagler County officials are advising residents that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is to hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 21 (Tuesday) about project plans to develop recommendations for strengthening the State Road A1A corridor between Ormond-by-the-Sea and Osprey Drive in Beverly Beach.
The purpose of the public meeting is to receive community feedback about the options FDOT is proposing along the corridor and recommends moving forward with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dune Renourishment Project planned along 2.6 miles in Flagler County.
“The number of public meetings the Florida Department of Transportation has held recently to present information and receive community feedback is really great,” said Flagler County Engineer Faith Alkhatib. “This gives our residents a voice by allowing them to participate and provide their input about FDOT’s proposals for State Road A1A.”
FDOT is offering a variety of ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of which platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.
