February 14, 2023 – Flagler County officials are advising residents that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is to hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. February 16 about project plans on U.S.1 from East Ridgewood Avenue in Bunnell to north of Palm Coast Parkway.
Current project plans are to repave U.S. 1 to extend the life of the roadway and modify the median opening at East Plane Street in front of the Heritage Plaza to enhance safety at the intersection.
“The Florida Department of Transportation is holding this public meeting to present information and receive community feedback,” said Flagler County Engineer Faith Alkhatib. “It is important for our residents to participate and provide their input about this project. There is always a lot of collaboration between agencies, because everything we do is for the benefit of residents.”
FDOT is offering a variety of ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of which platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.
Available platforms are as follows:
- Virtual Option – those who are interested joining from a computer, tablet, or mobile device at 5:30 p.m. should register in advance at attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4862375096724016656. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Chrome or Microsoft Edge are the choice internet browsers to register and attend this meeting. Please allow adequate time to logon to view the presentation in its entirety.
- Phone Option (listen only) – participants may listen to the meeting by dialing 1-877-309-2074 and entering the passcode 442-655-083 when prompted.
- In-Person Open House Option – participants may attend in person by going to the Flagler County Government Services Complex at 1769 East Moody Boulevard, Building 2, Board Chambers, Bunnell, anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.
All meeting materials, including the presentation, will be available on the project website: www.cflroads.com/project/445216-1 before the meeting.
