Tropical Storm Ian Update: Saturday Morning

ian update friday cone

This morning at 11am, NHC (National Hurricane Center) updated the current path and wind speed probabilities for Tropical Storm Ian.

While Flagler County is too far away to make a for sure decision on what kind of weather severity we will see, residents should be watching. The NHC posts updates every six hours. You can find the details on the website: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

Flagler County and the City of Palm Coast ask that residents remain calm, be sure they have their supplies ready.  You should have a plan in place for what you will need to do to prepare as well as what each person in your house may need, should we see severe weather conditions. During hurricane season residents should always be prepared for a storm and the after effects of potential power losses.

We are too far away to know what kind of effects Flagler County will have from this storm, if any. Please remain diligent and monitor the storm.  While storms are mostly predictable by professionals, they are still capable of making unpredicted shifts and changes, so it is best to be aware and monitoring the situation.

Flagler County Buzz will continue posting updates as the weekend continues, in an effort to provide you with the factual details you need to make rational decisions regarding the matter.
